Route and climbing options Hogwarts offers two climbing options: Classic route via the Garnet Bridge This route leads along a long traverse under the Horned Tower and is suitable for those who prefer less exposed terrain. The classic climb reaches UIAA difficulty level II and is among the more accessible mountain hikes. Variant via Zvodná lávka For experienced climbers, the more challenging route via Zvodná lávka is more appealing, allowing you to climb all four peaks of Hogwarts. This route with a difficulty level of III UIAA includes technical passages and exposed areas that require good preparation and confidence when climbing. The second highest peak in Slovakia is associated not only with a breathtaking panoramic view, but also with the opportunity to experience a mountain adventure under the guidance of an experienced UIAGM mountain guide. Variants of climbs Normálka (Emerici nárek): An ideal choice for beginners and families with children. The route leads from Lomnický sedlo and in 2-3 hours offers a comfortable climb with the help of a chain system to the top. At the end, you can enjoy refreshments in the highest bar with views of the entire Tatras. Jordan's path: A more adventurous route starts at Hrebienek or at Téry's hut. It leads through Jordan's gap and the ridge of the Pyšné štítů, with the final section secured with chains and footholds. An alternative is a shorter variant from Lomnický sedlo via Gipsy's ferrata. This expedition offers an adventure for beginners and experienced climbers, with all climbs taking place under the guidance of a certified UIAGM mountain guide. Options for climbing Velická próba (Normálka) Ideal for beginners. The route leads from the Sliezský dům through the Velická valley and the exposed terrain of the Velická próba, continuing through the Devil's Towers to the summit. The descent takes place via the Batizovský Žlab and the Batizovská próba to the Batizovská valley. The total length of the circuit is approximately 12 km with an elevation of 1,000 m. Gipsy ferrata and Tetmajerovo saddle A challenge for advanced hikers. The route includes technically demanding sections and the exposed Martinovka ridge. The descent is the same as for the Normálka. Martin's path (Martinovka) The best choice for experienced climbers. This ridge hike leads from the Polish Ridge via Zadní Gerlach to the summit and offers breathtaking scenery throughout the entire ascent. Winter ascent In winter, the ascent takes place via Batizovská Próba and Batizovský Žlab. The descent takes the same route, with the winter adding a unique atmosphere to the hike. Course of the hike Length of the hike: 7–8 hours (depending on the chosen route). Start: The hike begins in Tatranská Polianca, from where, after a transfer to Sliezsky dom, you continue on foot to the wall. Ascent: Participants are tied to a rope and equipped with helmets. An experienced mountain guide ensures safety. The ascent includes climbing passages, refreshment breaks and photo opportunities at the summit cross. Descent: Most often via Batizovský Žlab to Batizovská dolina, from where you return to Sliezsky dom along the Tatranská magistrála.
